Our
Mission
The mission of the Cienna & Friends Childhood Cancer Foundation is to educate,
support, serve and advocate for children with neuroblastoma,
their families and the professionals who care for them.
Our Principles
We believe that…
Childhood cancer is a lifelong impact on children
and their families.
v
When
a child is diagnosed with cancer, it affects the entire family
in many complex
ways and affects each family member differently.
v
Only children who have or had cancer can understand
what it is like to have childhood cancer,
and only their parents can understand
what it is like to be a parent of a child with cancer.
v
Only families
who have had a child die from cancer can understand
what it is like to lose
a child this way.
v
Children
with cancer have a right to the highest possible quality of life,
regardless
of their diagnosis or prognosis.
Our Goals
Advocate for children who have or had cancer and their families.
v
Educate families through community outreach about
Neuroblastoma.
v
Support children
with cancer and their families by networking

personal interaction.
v

v

among survivors, families and professionals of the
lifelong psychosocial impacts
of childhood cancer.
