…special words from our Founder…

The dream started in the year 2000 with the humble beginning of the donation of a few hundred Beanies. Due to the vision of Peter Freet, along with the marvelous donation of my co-workers at Coldwell Banker Bain in Issaquah, we came up with our first auction, BEANIES FOR BABES in just five short weeks. Issaquah Chevrolet made this possible by allowing us to use space at their new car center.

In the years 2001, 2002, and 2003, we held this worthy affair at Pickering Barn, renaming the auction CieSam & Friends in honor of two special little girls.  Because of our faithful volunteers and support from all our friends, we have increased and met our goal each year.

In 2004, the auction was held at the Double Tree Hotel in Bellevue with tremendous success.  This year’s event will also be held at the Double Tree Hotel and we have great expectations for another tremendous success. Special thanks to Debra Trappen our Chair, for her many hours of work, her great talents and never ending love for our cause.  I feel very blessed to know her.

Thanks to E.J. Bowlds, my co-workers and special friends at Coldwell Banker Bain, Issaquah, and to the local Coldwell Banker Bain offices.  THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.  You have given me more than you will ever know.

We will, with everyone’s support, continue to donate to CieSam & Friends Childhood Cancer Foundation because a child should never fight cancer alone.
